SSO Bober-M

The SSO Bober-M (бобёр - bevaer) is the modernized (M) version of the famous Bober rucksack.
The modernization was done well in this case. Lots of good features are present in this backpack compared to the old version, which was already very good.

SSO SPECTRE

This is not a comparative review, so I will only focus on the M version.

The Bober-M is a 25L assault pack designed for fast attack manoeuvres or rescue missions. It provides the user fast access to the equipment inside, with a relatively small size. The reviewed item is made from SSO SPECTRE material, which looks durable, has a nice matt tone on the outside, and an impregnated surface on the inside.

There are two compartments closed with zipper. The main compartment has one flat pouch inside, for water reservoir, or according to the producer it can be used for storing files or laptop. If you use it for water storage, there is a cut for the tube on the top of the backpack so the drinking tube can be easily led through. A little strap with a snap is at the top of the inner pouch to fix the reservoir in place.

In the smaller compartment you find various small pouches for radio, pens, documents, maps, notes etc.

On the front of the Bober-M there is a big MOLLE panel. It can hold in place a lot of big sized stuff. Such as helmet, clothes, sleeping bag, even weapons.

This panel has six compression straps, two on each side and on the top. On the bottom it has a mash base which was made to hold the additional stuff better. It functions like a big pouch, but has a hole at the bottom, if you want to fix long items, such as guns or shovels. Attached to the inner side of this compartment you can find two straps and numerous fixing positions, to help to secure the equipment.

On the sides there are pouches for water canteen or flares.

Many MOLLE straps on the Bober-M add a lot to the modularity.

The back of the Bober-M is well padded, it provides comfort and air ventilation. The right shoulder strap has a fast release buckle built in, if you are in a hurry.

The backpack is provided with a well padded, removable waistbelt, with MOLLE on it. The belt has a big loop for carabiners on the left side as well. The waistbelt is fixed to the pack with a large piece of Velcro and two straps on each side.

Overall I like it very much, it can be used for  Mil-Sim games and civilian everyday missions, too. ;)
Long therm test will follow up.

SSO Lazutchik Flora

The SSO Lazutchik is a well known robust chest rig. It has three big pouches in the front, which are able to hold six to nine magazines. There are two grenade pouches and one flare pouch on each side. If you are from the average size, the flare pouches might be a kind to hard to reach. But this is the only week point of the design. It has well padded shoulder straps so under weight it is still comfortable to wear. It has a map pouch behind the pouches. The whole chest rig has a mesh surface inside, to help ventilation.

This piece in the review was made around 2010, when SSO used the mustard material. This is the same quality as the mustard or some sources call it yellow oxford.

The BELOMO PK-A Red Dot

PK-A red dot was made by Belomo Belorus.
This optic site is very simple, and durable. In the inside we can find a tube with a led and a mirror lens, which, makes the vision of the dot.

This tube is adjusted by two knobs. One vertical and one horizontal. The secret is in the quality of the mirror lens. It is well made, and has the parallax correction. Means that the movement of the users head, and eye doesn't influence where the point is aiming. It has an additional ring for shading, what you can install to both front and back of the site (installed on front on the pictures)

The PK-A has a rail mount for classic Russian siderails. In this case the reviewed item has a SKS/AK type mount. It is also available in SVD type. The AK type makes the dot sit a bit higher. This exact piece has two a PSO style open knobs for adjustment, meaning you are able to fast correction to the aim.

The dot has multiple amount of adjustment, starting and ending at the brightest set, so from OFF setting you will always start on the brightest one, which can come in handy in unforeseen situations.

This PK-A operates on two LR-44 batteries, it can run for a few days on full brightness without any problem.

Thanks to the siderail type mount, it really holds zero even if you dismount it, and remount again later.

I got mine used, it was used on real rifle, in the Russian special forces. The former owner cut out a little piece from the mount, so you can close the tighten clamp even more. It has a sexy kamys bag for transport

This red dot is a tough Russian optic site, which will be more than enough for my needs on airsoft rifles.
